What’s in Your Purse?
How many times have you left your house and ended up being stuck in traffic (especially in the winter!), or working late or running errands when all of a sudden you get hungry?
It’s happened to me and I’m sure you know that feeling when you’re so hungry that getting a cup of coffee just won’t cut it. When you let yourself get to that point and stop somewhere convenient to pick up a little something, healthy choices aren’t always available and that bag of chips or candy bar will look very tempting. It may seem like a good idea in the moment, but how will you feel about that choice after?
I like plans! Have snacks ready so when you leave your house, you’ll be prepared for anything.
Here are a few ideas:
- Baggie of 10 almonds
- 2 rice cakes spread with peanut butter
- Baggie of cut up veggies
- A healthy snack bar
- Baggie of grapes or cut up fruit
- Single portion of cheese with a cut up apple
All these snacks are small, transportable and can fit easily in a purse, knapsack or a glove compartment in a car! Did I mention that they are also a lot healthier than what you may buy on impulse?
What snacks do you take when leaving your house?
I’d love to know so please share in the comments below:)
