Wouldn’t it be great if you came home and you had a tray of cut veggies waiting for you?

And if it were there, would you be more inclined to choose a healthier snack as opposed to some chips or a handful of chocolate chips? I have nothing against chips or chocolate chips, but if you have that for a snack when you’re hungry, one handful isn’t going to do it and you’ll likely end up having way more than you.

I know. You’re busy and no one likes to be stuck in the kitchen but, it wouldn’t take you hours to prepare – I promise!!! Peel your carrots, then cut them into sticks. That stalk of celery that you bought, well, if you don’t wash it and cut it, it’s going to end up in the compost and you wasted your money! Wash some peppers, slice off the tops, cut in half, clean out the seeds and slice. French beans only need to be washed. Look at that – not even 1/2 hour and you’re done!!!

Keep a container of hummus, salsa and/or guacamole in your fridge and so you can have it with those great veggies. Need a snack for work or school? Take out a container/baggie and fill it up with your already prepped veggies and fill a small container with one of your dips.

That’s right, it all starts with YOU making a PLAN and carrying it out. Do it often enough and it will become a new habit, your habit. And look at you who doesn’t want to be stuck in the kitchen:)
