Power Dragon Bowl


Nut Chilly Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 4 Medjool dates, soak for up to an hour in a cup of hot water (save water)
  • 1/2 cup almond butter
  • 3 tbs. honey or maple syrup
  • 3 tbs. of low sodium tamari
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 tbs. grated ginger
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne
  • Up to 1/2 cup of water (saved from the dates)

Directions:
Put all ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth. Add water until desired consistency is reached. Store in Mason jar for about one week. If the sauce gets too thick, just thin it out with some warm water until until you get the desired consistency.

Dragon Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tbs. maple syrup
  • 2 tbs. of low sodium tamari
  • 2 tbs. tahini
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Directions:
Put all ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth. Store in Mason jar for about one week. If the sauce gets too thick, just thin it out with some warm water until you get the desired consistency.

Veggies and Grains

  • Cooked brown, white, basmati, jasmine rice
  • Cooked quinoa or other grain
  • Steamed veggies: broccoli, kale, Swiss chard, carrots, cauliflower, bean sprouts, edamame beans, bok choy, zucchini, snow peas
  • Roasted cubed sweet potatoes, butternut squash
  • Cooked tofu, tempeh, salmon (your favorite protein)

To Assemble the Plate

On the bottom of your bowl put 1/2 cup cooked rice, top with steamed vegetables and a protein source. Drizzle sauce on top and enjoy! Choose your favorite combinations and/or protein!
