Grilled Chicken Burgers

A Few Words…

No one will say ‘Chicken Again?’ when you make these burgers!

Minced chicken makes delicious burgers, but it does need seasonings. There are so many different variations to choose from and all yummy!

If you don’t have access to a barbeque grill, no worries – you can easily cook these burgers on the top of your stove or in the oven.

When done, place your chicken burger in a hamburger bun, add your favorite fixings and enjoy!

Grilled Chicken Burgers

Yields 8-10 burgers

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 pounds minced chicken
  • 1 tsp. Worcester sauce
  • 1 tbs. Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup grated onion, squeeze out the juice
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • A handful of fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 cup - 1 cup panko crumbs

Directions:
Mix the minced chicken, Worcester sauce, Dijon mustard, grated onion, garlic, salt and pepper and parsley in a medium bowl. Add the panko crumbs as needed, the chicken mixture should be a little moist so you may not need the whole cup.

Shape the chicken mixture into patties and place on a dish. Refrigerate at least 1/2 an hour prior to grilling.

Preheat outdoor grill on medium heat. Barbeque for about 5 minutes on each side or until done.

Other Variations:
1. One of my favorite ways to make chicken burgers is to add Trader Joe’s Everything But the Bagel Sesame Seasoning Spice, some panko crumbs and chopped fresh parsley.

2. Add some chopped water chestnuts, minced shallots, tamari, sesame oil and grated ginger to the chicken/panko crumb mixture, you’ll give your burgers a yummy Asian flavor.

3. Add your favorite spice seasonings with panko crumbs and enjoy!
