Grilled Chicken Burgers

A Few Words…

No one will say ‘Chicken Again??’ when you make these burgers!

Minced chicken is so easy to use but it does need seasonings. If you add chopped water chestnuts, minced shallots, tamari, sesame oil and grated ginger to the chicken/panko crumb mixture, you’ll give your burgers a yummy Asian flavor. Another idea is to add your favorite hot sauce and give the burgers a little ‘kick’ – whatever flavor suits your taste buds! If you don’t have access to a barbeque grill, no worries – you can easily cook these burgers on the top of your stove or in the oven.

When done, place your chicken burger in a hamburger bun, add your favorite fixings and enjoy!

Grilled Chicken Burgers

Yields 8-10 burgers


  • 2-3 pounds minced chicken
  • 3/4 cup – 1 cup panko crumbs
  • 1 tsp. Worcester sauce
  • 1 tbs. Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup grated onion, squeeze out the juice
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • A handful of fresh parsley, chopped

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Add the panko crumbs as needed, the chicken mixture should be a little moist and so you may not need the whole cup.

Place the bowl in the refrigerator for a half an hour prior to shaping into patties.

Preheat outdoor grill on medium heat. Barbeque for about 5 minutes on each side or to desired doneness.
