Baked Apple Ideas!
Do you make baked apples?
There are certain things that I keep in my fridge on a weekly basis – healthy baked apples is one of them! And the recipe? It couldn’t be easier, it takes only one ingredient and they can be used a variety of different ways.
RECIPE: Wash and core the apples and then place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake the apples for about 25-30 minutes. Another option is to bake the apples in your toaster oven (This is what I do!) That’s it! I always make 6 at a time and they are easy to store in my fridge and use during the week.
4 Ways I Love Eating Baked Apples:
1. For breakfast I like to add a baked apple to oatmeal or steel cut oats. It’s so delicious and filling, especially on cold mornings.
2. A great healthy snack is a warmed baked apple sprinkled with cinnamon and a few walnuts.
3. Straight from the fridge!
4. I love to put 1/2 cup of my favorite Chapman’s frozen yogurt on top of a warmed baked apple as a treat. It’s like having apple pie ala mode 🙂
