Should I Buy a Pressure Cooker?
Instant Pot has got to be the most talked about small appliance out there. Do you have one yet?
I have to admit, I was intrigued. I read about it, watched YouTube videos, read tons of reviews, but I wasn’t sure if I was ready to get on board.
I have a slight problem with shopping. Whenever I have to return purchases that I made online, it’s almost impossible for me to make it out of the store without buying something else after I made the return. In fact, if I actually leave the store empty handed, I always text to inform family members (and others) that I left the store and bought nothing!! Last week I went to the Bay (Hudson’s Bay) with the intentions of returning two items and instead of leaving right away, I wandered around the store.
I went to the housewares department and I told myself that maybe I’ll look around and find something by Kate Spade for my daughter Tamara, but then I saw it. A huge display of Instant Pots! And they were on sale!! Another bonus is that I had a $20 special gift coupon from the Bay so, how could I not buy it?? It was beshert, which is a Jewish word that means ‘meant to be’!
So I made my way home, with my Instant Pot and very quickly sent a text to all about my new purchase. Be on the lookout for my Instant Pot Recipes using this!
I know, I have many tools at my disposal in my kitchen so why did I add one more? For me, eating healthy isn’t the only way I maintain the weight I lost. I find that making new recipes, trying new products, changing things up and blogging about it, keeps me going! Besides, there are many benefits to this new appliance!
Here are 5 benefits of an Instant Pot Pressure Cooker
- It’s faster than traditional cooking and can reduce the time by 70%. It’s also energy efficient!
- It’s convenient and can do multi-operations like sauté, brown, cook rice, steam, make soups and stews, warm foods, slow cook, batch cooks oatmeal and steel cut oats easily, to name a few!
- Coming home late with no time to prepare dinner? With this you can plan meals because of the delayed cooking feature.
- You can make healthy and tasty meals easily and consistently. Whole grain and bean based meals are also a softer texture and taste better when using a pressure cooker.
- One pot clean up!
